This free travel itinerary template organizes each day by location, transport, timing, plans and one “story stop.” That final column makes it easier to turn the itinerary into an animation or travel itinerary video after the trip.
Include the date, overnight location, arrival and departure times, transport, confirmed plans, booking references and a story stop—the one place or transition worth showing in the route video.

Why this template is different
Most itinerary templates stop at logistics. This one separates operational details from the route moments your audience needs to understand. A hotel address helps you travel; the train from Tokyo to Kyoto helps you tell the story.
The distinction also prevents an itinerary animation from becoming a rapid list of every reservation. Keep the full detail in the template, but animate only the stops that change the direction, transport or meaning of the journey.
How to use the template
- Duplicate one row for each travel day.
- Add confirmed logistics first: city, timing and transport.
- Choose one main plan so the day has a clear purpose.
- Name one story stop or movement worth showing on the map.
- After the trip, remove story stops that repeat the same idea.
Turn the itinerary into a travel itinerary video
Take the story-stop column and enter those locations in Roam Reels. You can also paste a compatible Google Maps route. Reorder the places to match the actual journey, choose the transport model and set the video format before previewing.
A vertical 9:16 travel itinerary video works well for Reels and Stories. If the itinerary covers several weeks, split it into chapters—one route per region or transport phase—so every place remains readable.
Template fields worth keeping private
Do not publish confirmation codes, accommodation access instructions, personal addresses or a live itinerary that reveals where you are staying. Copy only the public story stops into the video version.
